Rotary’s youth pipeline — and where we hope to build it here.
From the teen years into a first career, Rotary has a path for young people to lead, serve and see the world.
Four ways Rotary invests in young people.
Interact
A service club for ages 12–18, chartered through a sponsoring Rotary club. Students plan and carry out their own service projects and learn to lead along the way.
Our vision: charter a Southeast Raleigh Interact club at a local high school.
Rotaract
For young professionals aged 18–30: service and career networking in one club, built for people just starting out.
RYLA — Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
Leadership retreats and conferences that give teens and young adults hands-on practice leading real projects.
Rotary Youth Exchange
An international student exchange program. We’ve watched the Rotary Club of Raleigh host exchange students, and we hope to one day sponsor a Southeast Raleigh student on that same journey.

Part of our vision, not all of it built yet.
These are Rotary’s standard youth programs worldwide. Some are things we dream of starting in Southeast Raleigh — and we’d rather say so plainly than overpromise.
If you’re a teacher, a parent, a coach or a student with ideas, we’d love to hear them. Youth programs work best when young people help design them.
